Summer Heat!...Black 'n'White!

Summer is here with all its force...with all its good points and bad..no choice left for us to take it or leave it especially in this part of the world!I call it the Black 'n' White chequered Summer. As in we have the killing fields of  our country where people are in the midst of light playing hide and seek, unknown agencies playing dirty games, political fiasco, hit and run..you name it but we being the vibrant nation at heart have become numb to all this and go about our jobs, recreational & cultural activities in a normal fashion. I guess that's the start of a brain gone dead situation but awakening of a spark to combat the worst..I seriously pity those who plan to freeze this nation only to touch its melting point! well that's the dark side of the heat at the moment but if you want to enjoy the summer white in all its full bloom look no further .We have all it takes..coolest sherbets made of all the juiciest summer fruits, maidens attired in summery , billowy kaftans....kohled eyes.chilled mango parties..greenest and coolest mountainous regions..warm beaches, tonga and rikshaw rides..color every where..a profusion of all kinds of  art and colour on the buses, trucks, in fact a hustle n bustle of lively beats and gaiety. An array of rich food galore.blaring music bhangra style..dancing feet! Recently I had the rare opportunity to attend a week long Cultural Fair held in Islamabad after a sore waiting period of 4 long years and man it was one hell of an experience. Ethnic dances from all the provinces. Song and gaiety permeated the entire area. people thronged and enjoyed the sumptuous layout of food of all the cultural backgrounds..hand crafted textures, carpets, hand painted utensils, you name it it was all there under one roof. The best part was the aura of happy faces and hearts enjoying and clapping and singing and dancing with the rhythm of this festivity. No one cared for any repercussions..all that mattered was .. that.in the midst of this killing heat there was still a shade to rest our weary eyes upon and let our hearts sing for a while!
